Kourtney Kardashian Barker has given fans a nostalgic glimpse into her family history with some cherished throwback photos. The 45-year-old Lemme co-founder shared two black-and-white images on her Instagram Story on Friday, June 28, featuring her parents Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian Sr.
One particularly heartwarming photo captures Kris and Robert enjoying a meal together. Kris, now 68, is seen wearing a white coat and sporting a bob haircut, while Robert is dressed in a sleek bomber jacket and baseball cap, complete with his signature thick mustache. Robert, who passed away in September 2003 at age 59 from esophageal cancer, was the father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob Jr.
While Kourtney takes a moment to reflect on her family’s past, she is also celebrating the present. After welcoming her baby boy Rocky Thirteen with husband Travis Barker in November, Kourtney revealed on a recent episode of “The Kardashians” that she chose to stay home for 40 days post-birth. This decision, rooted in various cultural practices, allowed her body to heal and provided an opportunity for bonding with her newborn.
“In many different cultures, women don’t leave the house after having a baby for 40 days, to let your body have that time to heal,” Kourtney explained in a confessional. “I really don’t separate from him. I love being at home right now, dedicating my time to taking care of my baby and bonding with him.”
Kourtney also shared a unique detail from Rocky’s birth: the only music played during the delivery was by Frank Sinatra, reflecting the classic tastes of her husband, Travis.
In addition to baby Rocky, Kourtney is mom to son Reign Aston, 9, Mason Dash, 14, and daughter Penelope Scotland, 11, from her previous relationship with Scott Disick. Travis Barker has three children from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler: son Landon, 20, daughter Alabama, 18, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 25.
